Our founder
Meet Chris.
Chris Stovel is the founder and president of Tech Plus. He moved to the Bay Area from Calgary, Alberta in 2013 after selling his second company, Rocky Mountain Computers, and started Tech Plus in 2014.
He’s been an entrepreneur his whole life – starting his first business, Web Your World, in 8th grade. While other kids were focused on hockey, Chris was meeting small business owners and putting together online marketing plans. One of his first websites, Authentic Canadian Mukluks, grew to over $500,000 in sales in a single year.
Why Tech Plus exists
From break-fix to prevention
Rocky Mountain Computers was a break-fix shop: customers only came in after something went wrong. That got Chris thinking about how to prevent the problems in the first place.
That’s the mission of Tech Plus Consulting. We act as your outsourced IT department – with preventive maintenance and 24/7 monitoring that stop downtime before it starts and keep your business running efficiently.
